Can’t miss TV events to catch this fall

What are you most excited about watching this fall? Whether it’s binge-watching Halloween movies all season long, baseball, football, dramas or awards shows, with over-the-air TV, you can enjoy watching events live or pre-recorded with your DVR without having to pay for any monthly subscription fees. There is a lot of great content this time of year to look forward to, and with the right setup, you can experience crystal clear reception and all your favorite guilty pleasures—so you’ll never miss a beat.

Football

A great way to access games is to keep an eye on your local channel listings each week. Running now through January, you can access live college football games every Saturday on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. The NFL season runs along the same timeline with games broadcast on channels such as CBS, FOX and NBC every week on Sunday afternoons and evenings. Sunday afternoon games typically start at 1 p.m., 4:05 pm or 4:25 pm ET. Night games usually kick off around 8:20 ET.

MLB World Series

With major league baseball games already in full effect, the World Series will be here before we know it. Mark your calendar for October 27 to catch the start of it all. Game 7, if necessary, will occur on November 4th.

People’s Choice Country Music Awards

A big night for country music fans will be the People’s Choice Country Awards, which will be broadcast from the Grand Ole Opta Stage in Nashville, Tennessee on September 28th at 8 p.m.ET on NBC and hosted by music group Little Big Town.

CMA Awards

Watch your favorite country music stars accept awards and perform on November 8th at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Co-hosting for the second time in a row are country music star Luke Bryan and football icon Peyton Manning. The ceremony will take place in the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

An annual tradition now in its 97th year is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which will be held on November 23rd on NBC at 9 a.m. ET. Watch as guest stars, giant balloons and dazzling floats pass by on the street of New York City.

People’s Choice Awards (NBC)

Pop culture fans won’t want to miss this star-studded celebration of movies, music and television. Normally occurring in the fall, the event now has a new date. Tune into NBC on February 18th at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA, for the two-hour telecast.

Pro tip: If you know there’s something you definitely don’t want to miss this season, put a reminder on your calendar or use a DVR like Tablo to record it.
